They require a secure outdoor/indoor area, rooting opportunities, a balanced pig feed measured to avoid obesity (never dog or cat food), and mental stimulation such as foraging games. They can be litter-trained and learn tricks, and form strong family bonds.

Health & Lifespan

Miniature pigs commonly live 12-18+ years, sometimes 15–20. They are prone to obesity, foot and tusk problems (tusks may need trimming in boars) and skin conditions; a large-animal or exotic vet experienced with pigs is required.
